Living it Out

For our appeal does not spring from error or impurity or any attempt to deceive, but just as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, so we speak, not to please man, but to please God who tests our hearts. For we never came with words of flattery, as you know, nor with a pretext for greed— God is witness. Nor did we seek glory from people, whether from you or from others, though we could have made demands as apostles of Christ. - I Thess. 2:3-6

Many times, I have heard Christians talk about the need to "live the Gospel", as opposed to just preaching it. Sometimes I think that's a hollow cliche, but I think this passage shows us what it means to "live the Gospel", or "preach the Gospel without actions".

The summary: make sure your ministry is free from a desire for glory and riches. Make the approval of God your prize, not the approval of man or their money. That's how to preach the Gospel with your life.
